This site is a pictorial history of the Creature From the Black Lagoon
costume I am currently making. I remember seeing this film as a child, and ever since, the Creature has held a part of my
imagination. I originally started making a full size plaster creature, and when I was almost done, I decided that this wasn't
good enough. I wanted to be the creature. I I'm not trained in many of the secrets Universal Studios
used to make their creature costume, so this is actually a "poor man's" Creature, made from things anyone could find at their
local hardware store. Anyone with half a brain and a little imagination could do this... The following is my story......
